A facade system for a building comprising: a sub sill (40) adapted to be fixed to a lower end of an upper level (22) of a building, the sub sill supporting a lower end of an infill material (14) and having a first alignment portion (42); a gutter piece (50) adapted to be fixed at an upper end of a lower level (20) of the building, and having a second alignment portion (52); and a seal (60) located between the first and second alignment portions when the sub sill is in alignment with the gutter piece.
