The lock assembly (10) is pivotally mounted on the sliding panel and is moved between an engaging position, engaging the frame to prevent movement of the panel, and a release position disengaged with the frame allowing movement of the panel. The lock assembly (10) includes an abutment member (24) having a body (30) and an abutment part (35), with the abutment part (35) locatable in a selected one of a plurality of positions to adjust the position of the abutment member (24) to aid in accommodating variations in dimensions of the frame and assembly inaccuracies. rrn &COIL
