A latch box for a collapsible stillage is made of plate. Front end wall 20 has integral hook 22 for engaging leg 18 of the striker plate. The opposite rear end 24 wall has a central slot 26 and front wall 20 has a like slot 28. These allow slide 30 to reciprocate. 5 The slide is protected by a pair of C-section plates 32, 34 which complete the box shape of the latch body. Both plates have an access aperture 36. Slide 30 is also made of plate, the front end of which has a rectangular bolt 38 with striker face 40 for contact with the upper strike area of striker plate 8 under urging from a spring 46.
