LADDER SAFETY LATERAL SUPPORT STABILISER SYSTEM A ladder lateral stabiliser system for stabilising a ladder which comprises an elongate adjustable length support leg; a locking mechanism adapted to selectively lock the length of the support length; a pivot mounting adapted to pivotally mount the support leg to a stile of the ladder; a means of retaining and stowing the support leg to a stile of the ladder; wherein when installed on a ladder, the support leg is pivotable from a stowed configuration in which the support leg has an extended length and projects obliquely from stile towards the ground with the leg including a pivotable foot adapted to engage to the ground and where the pivot mounting is adapted to allow the support leg to pivot and to limit pivoting of the support leg about the fulcrum member by the upper end of the support leg abutting at one or more points against both the mounting bracket and or the pivot plate to indexingly lock the pivot member relative to the mounting member in either the deployed or a stowed position. The ladder lateral stabiliser has a latch safety support system which may be used to further secure the stabiliser support legs of the system to the ladder to provide added stability of the ladder and stabiliser system whereby the latch safety support system is secured to the ladder by means of a hooked latched that is formed as part of the telescopically adjustable support arm and placed secured into a mounting bracket that is attached to the stabiliser support legs of the ladder lateral stabiliser system.
