An attachment (23) for an excavation machine, the attachment including: first and second arms (24a, 24b) pivotally interconnected (26) and operable to 5 bring distal ends (28a, 28b) of said arms together; the distal end of each arm including a least one adaptor (27a, 27b) for attaching tool pieces such as digging teeth; first and second clamping assemblies (32a, 32b) respectively attached to said at least one adaptor at distal ends of the first and second arms and extending transversely relative to said first and second arms (24a. 10 24b), the first and second elongate clamping members presenting opposed clamping faces 934a, 34b); elongate gripping members (40a, 40b) disposed along each of the first and second opposed clamping faces to assist in clamping an object (41) therebetween upon the attachment (23) being brought into a clamping position.
