A washing machine has a door locking device for maintaining a state in which a door closes an opening, wherein the door locking device includes: a latch moving into a first direction so as to lock the door, and moving into a second direction, opposite to the first direction, so as to release the locking of the door; and a locker for restricting the latch from moving into the second direction. Thus, the opening/closing, locking and opening operations of the door can be implemented with one device.
