The invention relates to a fire protection element (10) having a substantially cylindrical housing (12) and further having an inner face (20) that defines a channel (18) for at least one line and/or conduit. An intumescent material (22) is directly injected at least onto sections of the inner face (20) of the housing (12), in particular foamed directly onto the inner face (20). The invention further relates to a method for manufacturing a fire protection element (10).
