A method and arrangement for obtaining water from a humid gas mixture at a first temperature, having a compressor suitable for compressing the gas mixture from a first pressure to a second pressure at which the dew point of the gas mixture lies above the first temperature, having a pressure boiler for receiving the gas mixture and condensing out at least a first fraction of the water from the gas mixture in the pressure boiler, having a pressure exchanger suitable for transferring the second pressure from the gas mixture with reduced water content to a fresh feed of the gas mixture, and having a line from the pressure exchanger to the pressure boiler for transporting the fresh feed at the second pressure from the pressure exchanger into the pressure boiler.
