Abstract The adjustable guide device (1), which serves for guiding a sliding element (8), such as a sliding door, comprises a mounting part (12), with a mounting body (121) that is 5 mountable on the floor, a guide member (11) that is pivotally connected to the mounting part (12) and that is designed for interacting with the lower side of the sliding element (8), and a locking element (16), with which the connection between the mounting part (12) and the guide member (11) is fixable or 10 releasable. According to the invention the guide member (11) comprises a guide body (14) and a guide foot (142), which are connected with one another, which guide body (14) comprises a guide column (141) that is aligned along a guide axis (y) and which guide foot (142) is seated on an upper side of the 15 mounting body (121) and is pivotally connected by a joint element (15) to the mounting body (121) so that the guide foot (142) can be turned around a pivot axis (x), which is distant from the guide axis (y).
