A drain fitting (1) for a flushing cistern comprises a housing (2) with a housing wall (3) which has a surface (4) on the outside, and a valve body (5), movably mounted in the 5 housing (2), with a float (6), wherein the valve body (5) can be moved along a centre axis (M) from an inoperative position to a flushing position and from the flushing position to the inoperative position, wherein the float (6) can be moved along the centre axis (M) inside a float chamber (7), which is delimited by the housing (2), and works hydraulically in conjunction with the float chamber (7), wherein the float chamber (7) comprises at least 10 one control passage (8) for controlling a first flushing quantity, by means of which, as soon as a flushing water level (S) surrounding the drain fitting (1) has dropped to the height of the control passage (8), air can enter the float chamber (7) from regions (9) outside the float chamber (7) in such a way that the pressure ratios between the float chamber (7) and the regions (9) outside the float chamber (7) can be balanced, wherein with balance of the 15 pressure ratios the float (6) can be moved from the flushing position to the inoperative position, wherein the drain fitting (1) also comprises a control unit (10) with a closing weight (12), which is adjustable in its height position, for controlling a second flushing quantity, wherein the closing weight (12), during initiation of the second flushing quantity, effects a closing force upon the valve body (5), and wherein the closing weight (12) is 20 movably arranged outside the housing (2) laterally to the surface (4) and relative to said surface (4), wherein the drain fitting (1) also comprises a fluidically or electrically operable actuator (11) by means of which the valve body (5) can be lifted from the inoperative position into the flushing position, and wherein the actuator (11) is arranged laterally to the surface (4) and, as seen with regard to the centre axis (M), opposite the closing weight (12) 25 which is arranged outside the housing (2).
