The invention relates to a damping assembly (40), in particular for a flap fitting (4), which damping assembly comprises a first spring holder (22) and a second spring holder (24), between which at least two springs (21) are arranged, which are designed as coil springs, wherein in each of the at least two springs (21) a linear damper having a damper housing (41) and having a piston rod (42) slidable relative to the damper housing (41) is arranged between the first and second spring holders (22, 24). Such a damping assembly is used in particular for a flap fitting for furniture in order to pivotably mount a flap on a furniture body and to apply high forces in a compact design.
