BUILDING INCLUDING A CANTILEVERED STRUCTURE
Abstract A building, supported by a substrate and including at least one upright support fixed at a lower end thereof to the substrate; one or more transverse structures secured to the supports so as to be supported therefrom above the substrate, or each structure comprising at least one section cantilevered from one or more said supports to which that structure is secured; and a tensioned tie arrangement, via which at least one distal part of the or each section is connected to at least one said support from which that section is cantilevered, to transfer loading from the or each section to the supports from it is cantilevered.
