IMPROVEMENTS TO METHODS OF WATER HARVESTING and WATER STORAGE, FOR WATER STORAGE TANKS AND EMBODIMENTS THEREOF
Apparatus for extending rainwater collection system capacity by converting existing or new tank(s) top surfaces into rainwater collection areas, interconnected to existing catchments, routed to tank filling through the converted tank top catchment, and catchment extension created by tank top perimeter overhangs of selectable dimension & shape bound to the tank top perimeter in unified manner, with said overhanging tank top extension containing perimeter gutters & perimeter edging containing rainwater run off entrapped within the bound tank-top in addition to remaining catchment area runoff directed to perimeter gutters, said gutters drained by outlets to tank sidewalls, into the tank storage, the tank top catchment endowed with filter types & filtering features on the rainwater catchment path ensuring rainwater catchments are clean once delivered to the tank reservoir, with said tank top overhang dimension selected for tank sidewall shading embodying improvement of stored water losses & quality.
