Abstract of the description The invention is a plastic bar chair to be used to hold steel reinforcing bars in position during the pouring of concrete. The design of existing plastic bar chairs means they are unable to withstand temporary increases in weight and have a low unit to volume stacking ratio. The chair is designed for a bar to be placed along an axis of two of the legs of the chair by shortening those legs to form a rebate.
