The present invention provides an apparatus for use in the rendering of building structures, the apparatus comprising at least one work aid component 10 the or each of which includes an elongated main body 12 for receiving and or engaging render 74 or a panel 65 to be rendered, the main body 12 having a cross-sectional profile which includes a base wall 18 and at least one laterally extending arm 25 which extends from the base wall 12 and a flange 30 extending the main body 12 which is, after rendering has been completed, removeable from said main body 12, said main body 12 being adapted to attach said apparatus to a surface adjacent to a surface to be rendered, and said flange 30 including means to hold a cover, to protect a surface adjacent, or near, a surface to rendered. r-I Ii co m 0 r_4 rH-
