A light fitting (60, 62) for use with a garage door operator (20) for a panel lift garage door, in which the garage door operator (20) is mounted at or towards an end of a driving rail (30). The light fitting (60, 62) comprises an electrical connector of a plug-in type for electrically connecting the light fitting to a complementary electrical connector of a plug-in type (50) on the garage door operator (20), the light fitting further (60, 62) comprising at least one light source that receives electrical power via the electrical connector, and mounting means for mounting the light fitting to the driving rail. The mounting means may be one or more magnets.
