The invention relates to a securing system (1) for securing a sanitary article (2), in particular a toilet bowl or a washing table, comprising a support element (3) with at least one securing receiving area (4) which can be connected to a securing means that is arranged on-site in a fixed manner, at least one upper stop portion (5) which lies against the support element (3) and contacts an upper stop (6) of the sanitary article (2), at least one lower stop portion (7) which lies against the support element (3) and contacts a lower stop (8) of the sanitary article (2), and at least one clamping element (9). The upper stop portion (5) lies above the lower stop portion (7) in the assembled position, and at least one of the stop portions (5, 7) is mounted on the support element (3) in a movable manner relative to the support element (3) and is connected to the at least one clamping element (9) such that said stop portion (5, 7) can be moved in an actuation direction (B) by actuating the clamping element (9) such that the two stop portions (5, 7) can be clamped between the two stops (6, 8) of the sanitary article (2).
