MOUNTING ASSEMBLY FOR UPWARDLY OPENING DOORS
A mounting assembly (1) for a tilt door comprises a power arm having a section (2) which is a slidable fit into a complementary section (3); the sections (2,3) can be secured together to a required length. The upper end of the section (2) incorporates a 5 pivoting bracket (5) for securing to the frame of the tilt door. A bracket (6,7) with a removable bearing (8) is attached to the section (3) allowing radial rotation of the power arm. A pair of opposing brackets (13,14) can be fastened to the section (3) at a selected position and which capture the upper closed-looped ends of springs (19,20). A separate section (21) can be secured to a doorjamb. Another separate section (23) 10 is a slidable fit within the section (21); the sections (21,23) are secured together at a required relationship. An outwardly extending mounting (26) is fixed to the channel section (23) which is connected to a rod (29). The other end of the rod (29) is attached to a bracket (30) which captures the lower closed-looped ends of the springs (19,20). The mounting assembly (1) is fully adjustable to accommodate any particular tilt door 15 installation.
