A LOW PROFILE RETROFITABLE RETRACTABLE SCREEN SYSTEM
A retrofitable retractable screen system suitable for use with windows including small caravan windows. A retractable screen is mounted on a spindle, and a cord is guided from a spindle pulley within a side frame member through a compact double backed path to an end panel attached to the distal end of the 5 screen. A tension adjustment arrangement is either located behind an end panel attached to the distal end of the screen with a compact profile to allow it to be fitted to small windows. A tension adjustment arrangement is either located within the side housing or a screen cross bar adjusts the tension in the cord as the screen is wound and unwound from the spindle to provide a smooth mechanism to extend and retract the screen. The system can include two screens, such as a blind and an insect screen, each located 0 at opposite ends of the frame. -42 15 |5 -61 Figure 8B
