Cost Effective Fastening Bricks
Abstract The invention is about the interlocking brick masonry and it has few disadvantages like ow strength, higher water absorption, low fire resistance and high porosity. The cost-effective fastening brick is a type of interlocking brick which has overcome short falls of interlocking 5 bricks. It uses raw materials which contain 40% clay, 50% sandy soil and 10% sludge waste. The intergradient are mixed thoroughly and water is added to the mix gradually until it binds itself. Then the mix is placed in the mould and it is cover by its led. The handle provided above led is brought down for compacting the block uniformly. The fastening brick is taken out of the mould and then it is air dried for 5 to 6 days and then kept in kiln at a .0 temperature of 1000°C to 1200°C. Thus, the systematic compression, air drying and burning increases the quality and load bearing capacity of the fastening brick.
