LIGATURE RESISTANT FLOOR DRAIN AND GRATE A strainer (62) for a ligature resistant floor drain (10) and a ligature resistant floor drain (10) incorporating a strainer (62). The strainer (62) includes a top plate (72) with two sets of openings (94, 96) forming rings. A cylindrical extension (84) extends from the top plate (72) at a location between the rings. Also provided are two series of webs (92), each web of which is located between an adjacent pair of openings in one of the rings. Optionally, a strainer plate (64) is attached to the cylindrical extension (84) and extends at least one of radially inward and outward relative from the cylindrical extension (84).
