This invention relates to a brace (1) for a formwork system used to form a concrete slab (2). The brace includes an anchor (3) and a body (4) which interacts with the anchor (3) to inhibit its movement. A support means (5) is associated with the body (4) which supports one or more edge boards (11a, 11b), when the brace is in use.
