FIRE CONTAINMENT DEVICES AND COMPONENTS THEREFOR
This invention relates to a fire containment device including heat reactive blocking means having at least two layers of intumescent material with one or more layers of fabric between at least two of said at least two layers of intumescent material and also a fire collar adapted to be set into a concrete barrier during formation of the barrier, including a housing; heat reactive blocking means in said housing including at least two layers of intumescent material with a layer of fabric between at least two of said at least two layers of intumescent material and defining a passage adapted to receive a conduit therethrough, said housing being adapted to protect said heat reactive blocking means and maintain said passage during formation of a concrete barrier about said housing.
