[Problem] To provide prestressed concrete that can be widely used as a general construction material, wherein chemical stress induced by an expanding material and mechanical stress induced by a continuous fiber-reinforced wire are simultaneously used, strength is increased due to the synergy of the chemical stress and mechanical stress, lighter and thinner concrete with reduced cracking is achieved, and design freedom is increased. [Solution] The present invention provides prestressed concrete characterized in that, in concrete to which prestressing has been introduced, mechanical stress induced by a tensioning material and chemical stress induced by an expanding material for concrete are simultaneously introduced, said tensioning material being a continuous fiber-reinforced wire, the expanding material for concrete being 5 to 30 kg/m3, and the expanding material containing 0.2 to 2.0 wt% of aluminum oxide.
