The hinge assembly (30) comprises a plurality of hinge pieces (31, 32) and a switching assembly (40). During the opening of the door body (20), the switching assembly (40) controls the plurality of hinge pieces (31, 32) to work successively in a first sequence. During the closing of the door body (20), the switching assembly (40) controls the plurality of hinge pieces (31, 32) to work successively in a second sequence, the first sequence being opposite to the second sequence. The described refrigerator provided with a switching hinge assembly improves the degree of freedom of the opening and closing of the door body (20), and may generate a variety of motion tracks to adapt to different application scenarios.
