A cornice at a corner between a ceiling and a wall in a building. The cornice comprises two pieces of a cornice moulding and a connection piece. A first end of a first of the 5 cornice moulding pieces is held within a first channel portion in the connection piece. A second end of the second of the cornice moulding pieces is held within a second channel portion in the connection piece. The cornice pieces and the connection piece are affixed to the wall and to the ceiling while said ends of the cornice pieces retain a sliding relationship with the connection piece. -15-
