The invention relates to a water level adjusting mechanism having a self-locking function, comprising a partition, an adjusting engaging plate provided on one side of the partition, and an adjusting lock. The adjusting engaging plate is slidably connected to the partition in the longitudinal direction. The adjusting lock is flexibly connected to the partition via a flexibly element. The adjusting lock is engagedly connectedthe adjusting engaging plate under the rebound force of the flexible element. The structural design of the present invention is scientific and reasonable, convenient to operate, and stable in terms of performance, and allows the adjusting lock to be in a locked state with the adjusting engaging plate in the absence of an external force, so that the adjusting engaging plate is always located in a set position and cannot slide by escaping from the lock of the adjusting lock, thus preventing the adjusting engaging plate from being "dislodged" when not being used by a person, while working, and during transport, and ensuring a drainage valve to be precise and accurate in terms of water volume.
