A basic module comprising a rectangular steel bottom joining plate 2 that has a top face 4 and a bottom face 6. The plate 2 has bores 8 to receive chord bolts. A 5 pair of divergent web arms 10,12 are welded to a top face 4 of the plate 2 and are inclined to create a web angle A. The upper ends of web arms 10,12 are joined and stabilised by steel rod 14 forming a strut or brace therebetween. A first arm 10 is slightly shorter than the second arm 12. Web arm 12 terminates in a wide top end plate 18. Both end plates 16,18 have bores 22 for receiving 10 chord bolts and may be welded to the web arms 10,12. In situ, narrow end plate 18 lies superimposed on wider end plate 16. The spread of the module from plate to plate determines the unit length of the module. Fig. 2
