Eine Plattform für die Wissenschaft: Bauingenieurwesen, Architektur und Urbanistik
A wear monitoring system (54) includes a pair of track links (26) for a track assembly (24) of a machine (10), with a sensing device (32) disposed within a cavity (80) formed in a link body of each of the pair of track links (26). One or more communication devices (34) are associated with the sensing devices (32), and a computing device (56, 58) is wirelessly connected over a communication network with each of the communication devices (34). One or more of the sensing devices (32) and the computing device (56, 58) are configured to detect one or more of a distance between the sensing device (32) disposed in one of the pair of track links (26) and the sensing device (32) disposed in another of the pair of track links (26), and a distance between the sensing device (32) disposed in one of the pair of track links (26) and a remote device. The computing device (56, 58) is configured to determine internal wear between components of at least one of the pair of track links (26) based on changes in the detected distance.
