-17 Abstract HOLLOW CENTER ANGULAR POSITION SENSOR An angular position sensor (16) is disclosed. The angular position sensor has a cylindrical magnet holder (21) that has a base portion (27) attached to a top surface of a shaft (14) and a magnet holding portion (29) extending from the base portion. A magnetic coding (22) is arranged on the outer surface (23) of the magnet holding portion that establishes a magnetic field. A sensor base (24) encircles the base portion of the magnet holder and supports magnetic field sensors (25) that are fixed on an arc-segment.
