A driveway gate assembly comprising: an upright gate frame member for attachment to a gate post; two spaced apart transverse gate frame members movably attached to the upright gate frame member at spaced apart locations on the upright gate frame member by respective pivoting mechanisms to allow each of the transverse gate frame members to undergo a pivoting movement relative to the upright gate frame member in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction; and one or more elongate interconnecting members extending between the two spaced apart transverse gate frame members wherein first and second ends of the one or more interconnecting members are movably attached to the two spaced apart transverse gate members respectively by linking mechanisms to allow each end of the interconnecting members to undergo rotational movement relative to the respective transverse gate member movably attached to said each end when the gate frame members undergo pivotal movement. 0o
