Abstract The described guttering system for roofing is designed to interface with the roofing structure in a way that enhances fire resistance and facilitates maintenance. It includes a fascia made of non-combustible material, such as metal, that interfaces with the trusses of the roofing structure. The flashing folds over the fascia, creating an upper angled portion and a lower portion that lies flat against the fascia. The roof cladding overlaps the upper angled portion of the flashing without extending beyond the fold, thus preventing debris combustion heat from entering the roof space via convection.
