CASH DISPENSING AUTOMATED BANKING MACHINE WITH DEPOSIT HOLDING CONTAINER
An automated banking machine comprises a deposit holding container comprising a reservoir. A locking mechanism is changed from a locked state to an armed state by a key, and is changed from the armed state to the locked state by a movable portion. In the armed state a door connected with the reservoir is moveable from a closed position to an open position, and in the locked state the locking mechanism prevents the door from moving to an open position. When the container is moved into supporting engagement with a bracket, a first portion of the machine moves the movable portion of the container, changing the locking mechanism to the locked state. When the container is moved out of engagement with the bracket a second portion of the machine moves the door of the container from the opened position to the closed position engaged with the locking mechanism.
