The invention relates to a device for the metal coating of fibres, for example ceramic fibres, by a liquid process, said device comprising a crucible (2) containing a liquid metal bath (3) through which a fibre (1) is drawn in order to be coated with said metal, said device also comprising a cooling system (11) positioned downstream from said metal bath in order to solidify the metal sheath created around said fibre by capillarity, characterised in that said cooling system comprises at least one nozzle for ejecting a compressed gas towards the coated thread (le), and in that the system is sized such as to solidify the metal on the periphery of the coated thread (le) over a length of no more than 200 mm.
Dispositif d'enduction métallique de fibres, par exemple de fibres céramiques, par voie liquide, comportant un creuset (2) contenant un bain de métal liquide (3) à travers lequel est tirée une fibre (1) pour être enduite par ce dernier, ledit dispositif comportant en outre un système de refroidissement (11) positionné en aval dudit bain de métal pour solidifier la gaine métallique créée autour de ladite fibre par capillarité, caractérisé en ce que ledit système de refroidissement comporte au moins une buse d'éjection d'un gaz comprimé en direction du fil enduit (le), et en ce que le système est dimensionné pour solidifier le métal à la périphérie du fil enduit (le) sur une course d'une longueur inférieure ou égale à 200 mm.
