DYNAMIC DAMPENING OF WIRE ROPE
A machine includes a base, a main housing that is freely rotatable and supported on the base. The main housing includes a generally horizontal surface. The machine also includes a drum mounted on said main housing, a boom extending from said main housing, a bucket operatively connected to and supported by the boom, a wire rope extending between the drum and the bucket for movement of the bucket, a fairlead disposed on the main housing along a path of the wire rope. The wire rope passes through the fairlead between the drum and the bucket. A dynamic dampening mechanism is disposed on the fairlead, the dynamic dampening mechanism including a dampening fluid having a variable viscosity in response to an electrical current applied thereto.
Une machine comprend une base, une enveloppe principale qui peut tourner librement et qui est soutenue sur la base. Lenveloppe principale comprend une surface généralement horizontale. La machine comprend également un tambour installé sur lenveloppe principale, une flèche sétendant de ladite enveloppe, un godet en raccord fonctionnel et de soutien avec la flèche, un câble métallique sétendant du tambour au godet pour le déplacement du godet et un chaumard placé sur lenveloppe principale le long du tracé du câble métallique. Le câble métallique passe à travers le chaumard, entre le tambour et le godet. Un mécanisme damortissement dynamique est placé sur le chaumard, ledit mécanisme comprenant un fluide damortissement ayant une viscosité variable en réponse à un courant électrique.
