METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MARKING A TRANSPORTATION CORRIDOR
A method for applying a fast curing epoxy traffic marking composition is provided in which curing agents are coated on a carrier such as glass beads or porous silica. These carriers are dropped onto the epoxy coating and promote rapid curing of the top layer of the epoxy coating while the bottom layer is given additional time to adhere to the roadway surface. This enables the application contractor to open a marked roadway in a quicker manner with less motorist disruption.
Il est décrit un procédé dapplication dune composition de marquage de trafic époxy à durcissement rapide dans lequel des agents de durcissement sont revêtus sur un support tel que des billes de verre ou de la silice poreuse. Ces supports sont lâchés sur le revêtement époxy et favorisent le durcissement rapide de la couche supérieure du revêtement époxy tandis que la couche inférieure obtient plus de temps pour adhérer à la surface de la chaussée. Ceci permet au contractant dapplication douvrir une chaussée marquée plus rapidement avec moins dinterruption de lautomobiliste.
