The invention relates to titanium diboride granules comprising aggregates of titanium diboride primary particles, where the titanium diboride granules have a rounded shape and are fracture-resistant. The invention further relates to a process for producing such titanium-diboride granules, their use for covering graphite cathodes in electrolysis cells in Al melt flux electrolysis or for the repair of holes in the cathode bottom of electrolysis cells and likewise a process for the repair of holes in the cathode bottom of electrolysis cells.
L'invention concerne des granulés de diborure de titane, comprenant des agrégats de particules primaires de diborure de titane, les granulés de diborure de titane présentant une forme arrondie et étant incassables. La présente invention concerne en outre un procédé pour la production de tels granulés de diborure de titane, leur utilisation pour le revêtement de cathodes en graphite dans des cellules d'électrolyse lors de l'électrolyse en bain fondu d'aluminium ou bien pour la réparation de trous dans un fond de cathode de cellules d'électrolyse ainsi qu'également un procédé pour la réparation de trous dans un fond de cathode de cellules d'électrolyse.

L'invention concerne des granulés de diborure de titane, comprenant des agrégats de particules primaires de diborure de titane, les granulés de diborure de titane présentant une forme arrondie et étant incassables. La présente invention concerne en outre un procédé pour la production de tels granulés de diborure de titane, leur utilisation pour le revêtement de cathodes en graphite dans des cellules d'électrolyse lors de l'électrolyse en bain fondu d'aluminium ou bien pour la réparation de trous dans un fond de cathode de cellules d'électrolyse ainsi qu'également un procédé pour la réparation de trous dans un fond de cathode de cellules d'électrolyse.
