The platform consists of two pairs of interconnected rectangular panels all of the same dimensions. A hinge interconnects the upper walls of each pair and a third hinge interconnects the lower walls of one panel of each pair. The hinges allow the panels to be swung from an open position in which the upper walls of the panels lie in the same imaginary plane to a closed position in which the panels are side by side one another as a solid rectangular block.
