ADJUSTABLE HINGE ASSEMBLY
A shower door enclosure has fixed and pivotable hinge halves which can be preinstalled to fixed and pivotable panels, respectively. One or both of the hinge halves can be adjusted at the installation site without hinge disassembly. In particular, each hinge half may be mounted to its respective panel via a fastener passing through the panel and into a floating bushing. The floating bushing is received in a seat formed in the body of the hinge half. The bushing and seat are shaped to prevent continuous rotation of the bushing within the seat, allowing the fastener to be tightened against the panel without requiring external access to the bushing. Upon assembly of the door panel to the adjacent fixed panel via the respective hinge halves, the bushings may be allowed to "float" laterally and vertically within the hinge bodies while the panels are adjusted to a proper orientation, and the fasteners may then be tightened to fix the panels in place.
Une installation de porte de douche comporte des demi-charnières fixes et pivotantes qui peuvent être préinstallées à des panneaux fixes et pivotants, respectivement. Une des demi-charnières ou les deux peuvent être ajustées sur place sans démonter les charnières. En particulier, chaque demi-charnière peut être installée à son panneau respectif par une fixation traversant le panneau et dans une bague flottante. La bague flottante est reçue dans un siège formé dans le corps de la demi-charnière. La bague et le siège sont formés pour empêcher la rotation continue de la bague dans le siège, permettant ainsi à la fixation dêtre serrée contre le panneau sans nécessiter un accès externe à la bague. À lassemblage du panneau de porte au panneau fixé adjacent par les demi-charnières respectives, les bagues peuvent « flotter » latéralement et verticalement dans les corps de charnière pendant que les panneaux sont ajustés selon une orientation adéquate, et les fixations peuvent être resserrées pour fixer les panneaux en place.
