The insulating material strip is divided into a first portion and a second portion and wherein the first portion and the second portion are comprised of a same material. A cover disposed on the insulating material strip. The insulating material strip is a putty which includes an intumescent additive and the cover is a tape, wherein the putty includes a reinforcing member comprising glass fibers or a glass fiber fabric.
