A two-handle shovel is provided with a primary handle and a shorter secondary auxiliary handle which is pivotally mounted to a U-shaped mounting casing integrally formed at the center of the upper edge of the blade. The U-shaped mounting casing has an open front and open top such that the secondary auxiliary handle can be pivoted to locate alternatively at a first position juxtaposed to the primary handle, or at a second position at which it is located at a selected angle from the primary handle.
