Sterilizing device for a toilet, comprising an ozone generator (20), impelling means (30) fluidically connected to the ozone generator (20) that allow the ozone generated to be discharged into the flush water in the toilet, control means (40) that control the generation of the ozone and the discharging of said ozone into the flush water, and sensor means (60) for detecting the presence or the actuation of a user, the sensor means (60) being communicated with the control means (40) and the control means (40) controlling the ozone generator (20) depending on the signal received from said sensor means (60). The device (100) further comprises an ion plasma generator (50) for discharging ion plasma directly into the air, the control means (40) controlling said ion plasma generator (50).
