A system of temporary supporting columns and horizontal supports for use atop a roof is described. The system is configured to provide safety to individuals performing work while on the roof, preventing the possibility of injury from a fall off of the roof. The system is designed for use on slanted roofs, and employs multiple vertical support columns which are linked by horizontal wooden elements to create a fence-styled barricade around the perimeter of the roof. Each vertical support column is mounted to the roof itself via a specialized roof-mounting slat.
