This is a new way to putting steel stirrups in concrete reinforcement. The lines of stirrups will be manufactured with 3d bending machines using one continuous draw wire. The advantage comes from 3 major aspects. Firstly, it is one continuous stirrup with homogeneous mechanical property for designers to have ease of mind (no ties, no hooks, no welds, no connection weak spots in general). Secondly, the manufacturing of this stirrup can be automated with 3D bending machines that are widely available so that the cost of stirrup will be very minimal comparing to traditional ones that need manual efforts. Last but not the least, the installation of stirrups is much simpler than traditional ones since the entire line of stirrups can be mounted and anchored with lock-rods at once, saving labor hours tremendously. A general graph of this new type of stirrup line will look like below: (see above graph) When mounted to principle steel reinforcement, a typical set-up will eventually look like below: (see above figure)
