Formwork support (1) comprising an outer support part (2) and a telescopic inner support part (3), wherein the inner support part (3) comprises a twist-proof portion (14) and the outer support part (2) comprises a twist-proof region (4) with a first inner contour (17), wherein during telescoping of the inner support part (3),..the twist-proof region (4) of the outer support part (2) cooperates with the twist-proof portion (14) of the inner support part (3) in such a manner that a twisting of the inner support part (3) about its longitudinal axis with respect to the outer support part (2) is blocked, wherein the outer support part (2) comprises a guide region (6) with a second inner contour (18) which differs from the first inner contour (17) for guiding the inner support part (3).
