A building including a roof and a rooftop mechanical unit, the rooftop mechanical unit being supported on top of the roof by at least a first roof curb and a second roof curb, a gap being provided between the roof curbs, each of the roof curbs being less than 15 feet in length; wind can blow snow through the gap and out the other side, which inhibits the buildup of a snowdrift which undesirably increases roof load.
Il est décrit un bâtiment comprenant un toit, ainsi quune unité mécanique sur le toit supportée sur le toit par au moins un premier rebord de toit et deuxième rebord de toit, un espace étant fourni entre les rebords de toit, chacun des rebords de toit ayant une longueur inférieure à 4,6 mètres (15 pieds); le vent peut souffler la neige à travers lespace, ce qui empêche laccumulation dun banc de neige, augmentant, de manière indésirable, la charge sur le toit.
