The integrated solar roofing system in this invention combines a novel design with prior art roofing materials and solar panels to produce a visually and structurally integrated roofing system. The solar panels become part of the roofing structure by mechanical and functional integration. The components of the integrated solar roofing system in this invention are assembled in a 'board and batten' pattern for efficiency and aesthetic purposes, such as keeping solar panel hardware and cables out of sight. By integrating the solar panels into the roof structure, the need for external, dedicated mounting devices is eliminated. Suitable materials for this invention are metal, high-strength plastic or composite materials. The main components of this invention are a base rail, a shake, a shake cap, an integrated solar panel mounting system, a triple-ventilation system and the assembly design that integrates all the parts together in a single structure.
