The invention relates to an articulated boom (10), in particular for a machine (1), having two limbs (7, 8), wherein at least one of the limbs (7, 8) comprises a first section (11), a second section (13) and an electrically insulating connecting piece (16) which connects the first section (11) to the second section (13) and which is rigidly connected to the first section (11) and to the second section (13), said connecting piece (16) comprising glass fibers (18) which are cast with a plastic matrix (19).
