L'invention propose une poutre ou poteau creux d'un système de construction, la poutre ou le poteau comportant un élément noyau (A) formé d'un élément central creux (7) rectiligne pourvu en coupe de quatre protubérances creuses externes diamétralement opposées en forme de queue d'aronde évasées vers l'extérieur et disposées en croix, ces quatre protubérances creuse externes ayant des extrémités internes rapprochées (2) qui sont espacées des extrémités internes rapprochées des protubérances creuse externes adjacentes et sont reliées par des segments de l'élément central creux, et quatre éléments d'entourage creux rectiligne qui viennent s'assembler autour de l'élément noyau (A) formant un carré qui entoure l'élément noyau (A), les quatre éléments d'entourage ayant en coupe une forme interne complémentaire aux quatre protubérances externes diamétralement opposées de l'élément noyau (A).
A hollow beam or post for a construction system, the beam or post comprising a core element formed of a straight hollow central element having a cross-section provided with four diametrically opposed hollow outer projections in the shape of outwardly flaring dovetails, which are arranged crosswise. Said four hollow outer projections have narrowed inner ends which are spaced apart from the narrowed inner ends of the adjacent hollow outer projections and are connected by segments of the hollow central element. Four straight hollow surrounding elements are assembled around the core element to form a square surrounding the core element, the four surrounding elements having an inner cross-sectional shape that is complementary to the four diametrically opposed outer projections of the core element.
