Method for preparing silicon carbide nanorods by using aluminum as catalyst
The invention relates to a method for preparing silicon carbide nanorods by using aluminum as a catalyst. The method comprises the following steps of uniformly mixing carbon powder, silicon powder and aluminum powder to obtain a mixture, loading the mixture into a cylindrical mold of which the inner diameter is 10mm, preparing the mixture into a cylindrical sample at a pressure of 10-40MPa, placing the cylindrical sample into a clean aluminum oxide ceramic boat, placing the aluminum oxide ceramic boat into an atmosphere furnace and heating to 1000-1200 DEG C at a heating rate of 1-10 DEG C/min, carrying out heat preservation for 1-4 hours, finely grinding the fully reacted reactant in the ceramic boat, soaking the ground reactant in 0.1-0.2mol/L hydrofluoric acid for 0.5-2 hours, filtering, washing the reactant with deionized water until the pH of the cleaning liquid is 7.0 and finally drying at 450 DEG C for 0.5-1 hour to prepare the silicon carbide nanorods. The method has the advantages of low synthesis temperature, short reaction time, energy conservation and the like.
